Lambuth radio color man  Bill Hamilton described Wednesday afternoon's women's basketball contest against Arkansas-Monticello  as three games in one.

Those who witnessed the game or who listened to the contest would probably  agree.

Lambuth controlled the first twelve minutes running out to a 23-7 lead. The Blossoms fought back and actually led at the half 36-33. Neither team took  control of the second half until Lambuth scooted out to a ten point lead in the last five minutes and won 72-62.

Lambuth was led by La Tonya McKinney with 20 points but it was the outside shooting of Ashley Franklin which proved to be the difference. Franklin popped in 17 points as she hit five three-point field goals in the game. Four of those three's were in the second half. Tara Robinson scored ten points and grabbed five rebounds. The senior Australian also had two blocks and several deflections in the game.

Lambuth was out rebounded 46-29 but forced UAM into 32 turnovers.

The Lady Eagles improved to 9-7 on the season. Lambuth will return to action on January 9 as they host Fisk University. Tip-off will be at 2 p.m.

It will be Dr. Charles " Pepper" Bray Day at Lambuth. The university will name the playing court in his honor between the games. The men will play Valdosta Sate at 4 p.m.

All Lambuth fans are encouraged to be at the games to honor Dr. Bray and support the squads.
