For the most part shooting has not been a problem for the Lambuth Eagles this year, but the last two games it has been just that which has been the undoing of Kevin Burton's squad.

After shooting just 32% at UHA Thursday night, Lambuth could manage only 38% from the field Saturday against # 1 ranked Mountain State. The Eagles missed wide open shots in the first half but only trailed 42-35. The Eagles shot just 29 % against a defense which was no more impressive than others the Eagles have faced earlier this season. Lambuth cut the lead to six early in the second half but was never any closer and lost 100-81. It was Lambuth's second straight loss and dropped their record to 10-5 on the year.

Lambuth was 18-of-34 from the free throw line and just 7-of-30 from behind the three-point line.

Xavier Price led Lambuth in scoring with 20 points.

The Eagles travel to Hiwassee College Tuesday night. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. Coach Kevin Burton will capture his 200th career win with a Eagle victory.
