It was a shoot-out in Pensacola Saturday afternnoon, but when the smoke cleared the Lambuth Eagles came up short in route to an 89-85 loss to West Florida.
A high scoring first half saw Lambuth trail 44-40 at the break. Lambuth stayed close in the second half and actually took an 81-79 lead on a Chris Stokes three-pointer with 2:17 left in the game. The Argos fought back and outscored the Eagles 10-4 to send Lambuth to their fourth straight loss.
Lambuth outrebounded UWF 39-31 but saw the Argos shoot 52% from the field.
Nakeem Floyd scored 21 points while Xavier Price had 19 points, nine rebounds and six assists.
The Eagles fell to 10-7 on the year.
