The Lambuth Baseball Eagles open their season this week with four games at Louisiana State University-Alexandria.
The season opener will now be Saturday with a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m. The opening series concludes Sunday afternoon with a doubleheader beginning at 10 a.m.
Friday's opener was rained out, forcing the two squads to play back to back doubleheaders.
The Eagles' home opener is February 10th against Shepherd College. The action begins at 1 p.m. The game will be the first of an eleven-game home stand.
Lambuth was 35-20 last year and ended their season in the A.I.I. Conference title game before bowing out.
Coach John Barlowe begins his third year at the helm. He is 64-44 at Lambuth. Assistant Coach Jason Anderegg returns for his fourth season at Lambuth.
Lambuth returns several key members of a squad which went excelled last year.
Senior pitcher Bret Ebinger, senior catcher Matt Bird, senior outfielder Bart White and senior first baseman Mike Davis look to lead the Eagles to a huge 2010.
