In a game # 24 Lambuth entered as heavy favorties they played just like that, with a 113 -27 rout of Hiwassee College Wednesday at the Athletic Center.
The 113 points is the most scored in one game by the Lady Eagles this season. It was Lambuth's eighth straight win and pushed their record to 16-7 on the season.
The Lady Eagles jumped out to an early lead and led 55-11 at the break. Coach Tony Hill showed mercy on his opponent by never pressing in the entire contest.
After being out several games Kelly Hufstedler returned with a vengeance by scoring a career high 24 points. She also pulled down 11 rebounds.
Five players scored in double figures for the Lady Eagles, including newcomer Rakeshia Perry who had 10 points. Jenee Webb had 13 points while Ashely Franklin scored 14 points. Daumonique Lenhardt tossed in 16 points .Lambuth hit 10 three-point field goals and never looked back after the early stages of the contest.
Lambuth returns to action next Wednesday as they host Alabama-Huntsville. Tip-off is at 6 p.m.
