Antwan Long knows well what post-season play in all about. It is a annual habit at Jackson's Liberty High School where Long played his prep ball.
As a member of state championship teams, Long may not have been recruited as highly as some of his high school teammates. Lambuth's Head Coach Kevin Burton saw a player he thought was a great defender  though, and one who could develop an offensive game as well.

That is exactly what has happened as the Eagle junior no doubt has been the leader of the squad this season. As Lambuth heads to Orangeburg, S.C. this week for the A.I.I. Basketball Tournament, Long will quietly go about his business, helping Lambuth hopefully advance to even greater heights.

He leads the team in scoring, averaging 13.8 points per game. He also leads the squad in assists. He is third in rebounding. He trails only  Xavier Price in steals for the season. He has gone to the free-throw line and hit more charity tosses   than any other player this year.

He also leads the squad in minutes played.

On a radio broadcast this season, color man Bill Hamilton quizzed fellow broadcaster Dave McCulley what Long would do if he was 6'7. McCulley answered, " If he was 6'7 he would be playing at a higher level and would not be at Lambuth." Coach Kevin Burton, in this case, is probably glad he is not 6"7.

Good Luck to Antwan and the entire Eagle squad in post-season play.
