The Lambuth Lady Eagles dropped two games to West Alabama Sunday afternoon at Lions Field. The Lady Eagles have lost 11 games in a row and fell to 3 -12 on the season.
In game one of the doubleheader Lambuth's Kristen Rast and Kara Sykes both had home- runs in the 9-3 loss.
Rast and Natayle Chudy both went deep in game two but it was not enough as Lambuth lost 7-3 to the Gulf South opponent. Kara Sykes was 2-for-four in game two.
Coach Bubbles Lee commented on the losses. " We played well in game two but again it seems to be one inning in each game that proves to be our downfall. We have a lot of injuries as well and that continues to hurt us. We have to keep our heads up and stay focused."
Lambuth travels to Freed-Hardeman Tuesday to battle the Lady Lions. The first game of the doubleheader begins at 5 p.m. The games were scheduled for Monday but due to wet grounds were moved to Tuesday.
