It was a special and historic day for Lambuth Softball Monday afternoon.

The Lady Eagles along with Lambuth President Bill Seymour  and Lambuth Athletic Director Ken Brown honored some very special supporters of the school and program before the doubleheader with Freed-Hardeman. Kevin Perry and his wife Betsy, daughter Taylor Ann, and father Gordon were honored for the contributions to the Lions Field Complex.

The Perry's have given their time and money to make the facility one which all Lambuth players and fans can be proud of.

After the pre-game ceremonies, Dr. Seymour threw out the first pitch.

Lambuth lost the first game 4-2 despite a long home-run from Natalye Chudy and two RBI's.

Lambuth took game two 6-3. The winning pitcher was Linda Potter. Potter also had two hits in the contest.Tai Meadows was 2-for-3 with two RBI's.

Lambuth is  8-17 on the year and has won four of their last five games.

 Coach Bubbles Lee  commented on the day, " The first game was a tough one. I was proud of how our kids came back in game two. We were able to string some hits together and get a huge win." Coach Lee added, " It was a special day and we were so happy to honor Kevin and the entire family. Our team is so grateful for all they do."
