Tai Meadows
Strong pitching, timely hitting and strong defense will win a team a lot of games. Those were in place for the Lambuth Lady Eagles Wednesday afternoon as they beat Cumberland University 5-1 and 3-1 in a doubleheader at Lions Field.
Tai Meadows had a three-run double in the fourth inning of game one which proved to be the difference. Meadows also picked up the win, pitching well against the Lady Bulldogs.
In game two Lambuth got a two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth from Natalye Chudy propellng Lambuth to their seventh win in their last eight games. The Lady Eagles have won four in a row to move to 10-17 on the season.Linda Potter was the winning pitcher.
Lambuth will be back in action on April 6 as they travel to Rust College. After a four game road trip the Lady Eagles return home on April 12 to meet Martin Methodist.
