Scott Metcalf's name was etched in stone at the Jackson National Golf Club this past Sunday as he defeated B.J. Stanfield, 7 & 6, to win the Albert A. Stone Jr. Cup Tournament, which recognizes the top amateur golfer in Jackson-Madison County. "It feels pretty good," Metcalf said, beaming. "Coming in, I didn't expect to win, but I hung in Saturday and played well on Sunday."
Metcalf used 37 holes to defeat Ron Smith (1 up) and Vince Fesmire (1 up, 19 holes) on Saturday.
Scott is a junior at Lambuth.
