Jackson, TN - The Lady Eagles made the short trip across town to face, in form, Union University on Tuesday October 2, 2007. A win for either team would take them to 3rd in the TranSouth standings so it was a key match for both teams.

It didn’t take Union long to get on the score sheet as they rushed into a one-goal lead as Lambuth were caught napping early on. The Lady Eagles soon settled and started to move the ball around effectively. With 8min on the scoreboard they were rewarded when senior, Lauren Wagner hit one well outside the 18-yard box leaving the keeper helpless. Lambuth looked to be the better side but could not make the most of their chances. This would come back to haunt them as UU grabbed two more goals before the half.

After the break both teams created some good chances; however it was UU who capitalized scoring two more to make the final score 1-5.

That takes the Lady Eagles to 3-6 overall and 2-3 in conference play. Lambuth travels to play NCAA Div. I Austin Peay on Tuesday 10/9 @ 6pm.
