Lambuth cruised to a 2-0 victory on Senior Day against Crichton College this past Saturday. Both seniors, Brenton Saylor and J.W. Hunt were instrumental in the victory. Saylor recorded his third shutout of the season and Hunt recorded an assist. Despite a number of great scoring opportunities, it took a deflected stike from Wade Wadsworth  to give Lambuth the lead in the 30th minute of play. That was the only score by either squad in the first period.

Lambuth secured the win in the 60th minute when some neat team passing helped Hunt and Ross Hayman team up for the only other score in the contest. Coach Conway said, ' Ross was the man of the match."

Despite out-shooting Crichton 24-3, Lambuth failed to convert  at times but still won.

The Eagles improved to 9-4 overall and 6-1 in conference play.

The Eagles travel to face Freed-Hardeman on the 16th. The match will begin at 7p.m.

Coach Conway said, " Credit to Crichton, they never stopped. We were not at our best but still managed to win. It was a special day for the entire team and all of our lads were proud for our two seniors. J.W.and Brenton have given so much to this program and we look forward to these last key late season games with our two leaders propelling us to go farther."
