One day after taking a commanding lead,  Lambuth's Leslie Garside closed the deal with a second round 84 to win the Rhodes College Golf Classic in Tunica, MS. Tuesday. Garside finished with a two day total of 158 to win by six strokes.

The tournament was held at the National Golf Club in Tunica. Garside and the field battled not only each other but inclimate  weather conditions each day. Wind and rain were factors but Garside played well both days despite the conditions.

Lambuth golf coach, Andy Farmer said, " Leslie played well both days but  Sunday's round was one to remember. She was brilliant as she hit all but one fairway  during the entire round. She was the talk of the tournament and I am proud of her."

Garside is a senior who prepped at Jackson North Side.
