Lambuth defeated local conference rival Bethel in today's Region XI play-in game.
Jackson, TN—On a brilliant sunshiny day at the Lambuth University Senior Commons Soccer Complex the Lambuth Eagles were just as brilliant.

The Eagles beat Bethel in the Region XI play-in game and will move on to the Region Semi-Finals to face the second ranked team in the nation, Lindsey Wilson.

Adam Goldie scored the only goal of the contest scoring at the 56th minute mark to give Lambuth the win. Wade Wadsworth was credited with the assist.


The TranSouth regular season champion Eagles shut the Wildcats out and the 1-0 win sent the huge Lambuth crowd into frenzy.

The match against Lindsey Wilson will be played at Mid-Continent College in Mayfield and will begin at 11 a.m.

Coach Paul Conway, the TranSouth Conference coach of the year said, “ Our laddies played a great game against a great team. We are honored to represent our league and University against an outstanding Lindsey Wilson squad. It is a super opportunity and we expect to play well.”
