Joplin, MO - Head Volleyball Coach Bill Burnside is pleased to announce his first official signee for the 2008 season. Leia Pittman, who hails from Joplin, MO, will be a great addition to Lady Eagles, according to Coach Burnside.
Leia Pittman made her committment official last week in front of friends and family at College Heights High School.
"Leia has considerable athletic ability," commented Coach Burnside, "combining height with jumping ability. She is a very capable blocker. At College Heights High School Leia set the record for blocks in a season her freshman year, and proceeded to break that record each season since. Its that same blocking ability that I feel will make Leia an immediate asset to our team. In addition, I expect Leia to be an excellent representative of our university on and off the court. It is a combination that made it an easy decision to sign her!"
Liea Pittman will enroll for classes at Lambuth in the fall of 2008.
