Ashlee Rimmelin
Kansas City, MO - On November 19, 2007, women's soccer team captain Ashlee Rimmelin was named along with three hundred other student athletes to the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete Team. The award is sponsored by Daktronics the parent company of DakStats, the NAIA's official statistics program.
"Having Ashlee named to the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete Team is
a huge compliment to the quality of our student-athletics," commented
Interim Athletic Director Mr. Dave McCulley. "Ashlee garnered
this honor not just because she is an excellent athlete, but because she understands what she does on the field is secondary in comparison to
what she does in the classroom. Lambuth University is proud to call Ashlee a Lambuth Lady Eagle."
Rimmelin, a 5-6 junior defender from Friendswood, TX, was named earlier this season TranSouth Second Team All-Conference and was also named TranSouth All-Scholar Athlete. She garnered those same honors for the 2006 season as well.
