Jackson, TN - Lambuth University senior Allen Ervin will play in the Texas vs The Nation All-Star Challenge February 2, 2008 at the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas.

 

The game pits top collegiate players originally from Texas or who played college football in Texas against top players from around the nation.

 

Ervin, coming off an outstanding senior season with the Eagles, led the NAIA Division I in all purpose yards this past year.

 

Coach Vic Wallace said, "This is quite an honor for Allen to be chosen to play in this contest. There are players from major schools all around the nation chosen to play in this game. He was a pleasure to coach. He is an outstanding player and person. I am so proud for him . There will be representatives from every pro team at the game and it promises to be a great chance for Allen to showcase his talents."

 

The game will be nationally televised on CSTV with kick-off slated for 4pm.

 

Ervin is one of several Eagle players chosen to play in post season games while being coached by Vic Wallace in his 15 years at Lambuth.
