The Lambuth University Eagles continued their winning ways as they traveled to Blue Mountain and defeated the Toppers 111-68 Monday night.
This marked the seventh time this season the Eagles topped the century mark. Lambuth is 7-0 in those contests.
Lambuth had five players reach double figures, led by freshman, Corey Webster, who set a new career-high with 23 points, 17 in the first half.
Joining Webster in double figures ,was senior Steve Gray, who continues his excellent play with 17 points and eight rebounds. Senior Michael Beasley and junior Derrick Brooks scored a season high 13 points each and freshman Antwan Long tied his season high with 10 points. Lambuth shot 51 percent from the field and forced the Toppers into 28 turnovers.
The Eagles welcomed back senior, Trey Pearson, who sat out the last two games with the flu. Pearson, who saw limited action scored six points in his first action since the Eagles 104-91 win at home against Martin Methodist on January 26.
The Eagles moved to 18-3 on the year and 10-2 in conference play. Lambuth moved into first place with the win after Trevecca's loss to Crichton.
