Senior De Pryer led Lambuth with a season high 31 points in the Lady Eagles' 79-64 win over Trevecca Nazarene.
Jackson, TN - After a sluggish start the Lambuth Lady Eagles caught fire in the last seven minutes of the first half and beat Trevecca Monday night 79-64. Lambuth used a 17-1 run in those last few minutes of the half to grab a ten point lead at the break. Trevecca had led by ten early in the contest before Lambuth, behind Dee Preyer rallied and won their ninth game in a row.

Three players scored in double figures for Lambuth, led by Preyer who scored a season high 31 points. Yolanda Johnson scored 13 while Donna Lavea tossed in 12.

Lambuth forced Trevecca into 26 turnovers. The Lady Eagles are 13-1 when forcing opponents into more turnovers in a game.

The No 16 Lady Eagles move to 18-7 on the season and 10-3 in the conference.

Coach Joe Reints commented. " Dee was sensational. She took control of the game and sparked us when we really needed to get back in the game. They had taken a ten point  lead and the senior stepped up. She hit some big three's and got to the rim and that got the ball rolling for us. Katherine Snodgrass came in in the first half and made several big plays. Our defense was the difference. They are a great scoring team and we did a good job on several of their key scorers."

With the nine game winning streak it sets up a great match-up with the undefeated and No 1 Union Lady Bulldogs Thursday night at the Athletic Center. Union is 23-0 on the year and 12-0 in the conference.

Tip-off is slated for 6pm. Catch the game on WAMP 88.1 & 99.1 or on the web at wamp.afr.net, or lambutheagles.com. The game will be televised on E-Plus TV 6.
