The Eagles trailed by nine early in the contest but caught the Trojans and tied the score at 25 with a long range bucket by Glen Dandridge. Lambuth took their first lead at 28-25 and pulled away to lead 44-32 at the half. The Eagles are 20-0 when leading at halftime. Trevecca would pull within five in the second half at 72-67 with just over five minutes left but clutch free throw shooting by freshman Cory Webster sealed the deal as the Eagles remain in first place in the TranSouth Conference.
Coach Kevin Burton commented, " We did not open up well but made a big push behind our defense that got us going. We had several big baskets off our defense and that got us the lead. Trevecca is really good and the last eight to ten minutes of the first half we were able to make some big plays that allowed us to turn the game around. Trey was super tonight and Jeremy was his ususal self with an overall fine effort. We are glad to get this win and move on."
