Few words sound sweeter to the coach of a new team than that! The phrase ranks right up there with "Halleleuia!"
About her Swim Team Coach Thauer said "This team has worked hard and now at the end of the conference championship meet, those wonderful words are being passed out among the coaches and swimmers, and Lambuth University are among those singing that tune!"
The pool in Bristol is shallow, so that means that times were a tad slower, the turns felt different and the the water felt colder. In spite of these obstacles, there were many shining moments at the Appalachian Conference Swimming & Diving Championships this weekend.
Kimberly Bridgman bettered her time in both the 100 Free and the 50 Free. Graduating Senior James Dozier dropped time in his 100 Free and JW Hunt dropped time in both the 100 Free and the 100 Breast. Finally, the Lambuth women achieved that formerly elusive 200 Medley Relay qualifying time.
"See you at Nationals!" You bet!
