The Lambuth Lady Eagles showed no ill effects of a carry over from the tough loss to Union with a 93-82 road win at Cumberland University Saturday afternoon. Five Lady Eagles scored in double figures with Yolanda Johnson leading the way with 26 points. After trailing 5-3 Lambuth outscored CU 41-18 and took command of the contest. Lambuth would lead 52-35 at the half. The Lady Eagles are 18-2 when leading at the break.
Kayla Bryant hit five three's and finished with 15 points.Dee Preyer finished with 12 points while CT Kintchen had 11 points and eight rebounds. She also had nine of Lambuth's 21 assists.Tara Robinson had ten points.Lambuth outrebounded the Lady Bulldogs 37-36 and forced CU into 18 turnovers.
Lambuth improved to 19-8 on the year and 11-4 in the conference.
After playing six games in the last twelve days Lambuth will have a few days off as they will not play again until Thursday when they travel to Mid-Continent for a 6pm. tip-off.
