Mayfield, KY - The Lambuth Lady Eagles beat Mid-Continent Thursday night in Mayfield, KY, 96-49. Lambuth took early command of the contest scooting out to a 16-0 lead in the first four minutes. The lead gradullay increased throughout the half and Lambuth led 46-13 at the break. The Lady Eagles are 19-2 when leading at the half.
Five players scored in double figures with Kayla Bryant leading the attack with 17 points. Bryant scored all of her points in the second half. She hit four three-point field goals in a row.
Meagan Sanders scored a career high 13 points while CT Kintchen had 11 points and three assists. Yolanda Johnson had 10 points and five rebounds. Dee Preyer had 10 and two assists.
Lambuth outrebounded the Lady Cougars 37-25 and forced Mid-Continent into 28 turnovers.
Lambuth improved to 20-8 and 12-4 in the TranSouth Conference.
The Lady Eagles are off until Thursday when they travel to Martin Methodist for a 6pm. tip-off.
