The Lambuth Lady Eagles advanced to the conference tournament sem-finals Wednesday night with a hard fought 67-53 win over the Lyon College Lady Pipers. Lambuth jumped out to a 9-0 lead and appeared to be on their way to a another big win over Lyon. The Lady Eagles had beaten Lyon 84-53 the last week of the regular season. Lyon bounced back late in the first half to cut the lead to eight at halftime. The Lady Eagles extended the lead to as much as 12 midway of the second half but Lyon was able to cut the margin to four on a couple of occassions . The Lady Eagles hit several big  late free-throws and held on for the win.  
C.T. Kintchen led Lambuth in scoring with a career high 25 points. Kintchen had four rebounds, three assists and five steals. Yolanda Johnson had 14 points.

Lambuth improved their record to 23-8. The # 3 Lady Eagles advance to meet # 7  Freed-Hardeman Friday night in Henderson. The Lady Lions beat Martin Methodist  Wednesday night 86-69.

The two teams split duing the regular season with Freed beating Lambuth in Jackson and Lambuth beating the Lady Lions later in Henderson. The 74-69 win over FHU was the first time Lambuth had beaten the Lady Lions since November, 2001. The Lady Eagles were led in scoring by Dee Preyer who had 28 points . Kristin Brison had 12 points and six rebounds.
