Jackson, TN - The Lambuth baseball team cracked the Region XI Top Six for the first time in the previous three years. This is the third region poll of the season. Each team in Region XI sends in a form to three coaches from the TranSouth and three coaches from the Mid-South conferences. Those six coaches rate their top six teams from the 16 teams that make up Region XI. The Eagles grabbed the fifth spot with an overall record of 15-10 and a TranSouth record of 4-2.

1. Trevecca Nazarene University (Tenn.) (4-1 / 16-4)
2. University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) (3-0 / 18-3)
3. Freed-Hardeman University (Tenn.) (4-2 / 17-6)
4. Cumberland University (Tenn.) (3-4 / 19-11)
5. Lambuth University (Tenn.) (4-2 / 15-10)
6. Lindsey Wilson College (Ky.) (2-1 / 12-7)
 
 
The Eagles are tied for second place in the conference with Freed-Hardeman who took the number three ranking and both are sitting behind Trevecca, who is the number one ranked team in the region and first in the conference standings. The University of the Cumberlands from the Mid-South Conference is in second place. Cumberland University took the fourth spot and Lindsey Wilson, another member of the Mid-South closed out the rankings in sixth place.
 
The Eagles will host Lindsey Wilson tomorrow. Both will be fighting to maintain their spot in the Region top 6. The next Regional Rating is due to come out March 24.
