The Lambuth Eagles had high hopes when they traveled to Kansas City for the national tournament but those hopes were dashed by Oklahoma Baptist Friday with a Bison 89-79 victory. The Eagles closed the season at 30-4.
Lambuth led 2-0 but would fall behind and never lead again in a game that saw the Eagles shoot poorly and get outrebounded by a defensive team that shut the Eagles down through out the day. OBU had four of their five starters score in double figures.
Kierren Lovick led Lambuth with 18 points and six rebounds off the bench. Jeremy Weddle scored 16 points and Corey Webster added 14.
Lambuth will have to replace eight seniors who have all been great student athletes at the school. All Lambuth fans wish these fine young men the very best and thank them for their contributions to the program.
