Lambuth University prides itself in athletic programs that seek to cultivate, body, mind, heart and soul and in creating not simply athletes, but well-rounded student athletes and future leaders. In a response to the growing influence of the modern culture that increasingly encourages students of all ages to experiment, and at times abuse drugs and alcohol, Lambuth University is pleased to host Mr. Ernie Ward.
Mr. Ward will be the first of a series of speakers to address our athletes on issues of "Heart and Soul" as the University seeks to further cultivate the whole person in being a student athlete.
Ernie was a stand out defensive back for the University of Tennessee Volunteers, 1973-75. He will be sharing his own personal story of athletic success and his struggles with substance abuse. He will tell of his ultimate victory in life overcoming his struggles.
All area collegiate student athletes are invited to attend.
The event will take place in the Hamilton Performing Arts Complex, April, 1 at 7 p.m. on the Lambuth campus.
