Jackson, TN - Eight to 10 years ago, Tom Sampson isn't exactly sure when it was, his daughter Jonna told him that she was going to play college soccer.
That dream has been signed into reality, as Sampson, a midfielder for the Joshua, Texas Lady Owls signed a national letter of intent to play for the Lambuth University Lady Eagles.
Sampson also is a member of the DFW Tornadoes club team and that is where Lambuth head coach Simon Duffy first spotted Sampson.
When Sampson enrolls in the fall, she hopes to earn a starting spot right away, while working toward a degree in secondary education.
Lambuth coach Simon Duffy commented, I was impressed the first time I saw Jonna play. She loves the sport and has a great work ethic. She makes good decisions and will be a pleasure to coach."
