After 15 seasons at Lambuth University, Coach Vic Wallace has been selected to coach in the Victory Sports Network Senior Classic football game. Wallace accepted an administration  position  at the University after this past season. The game will be played April 19 in Platte City, Mo.
 
" It's a real honor, but I don't know how I was picked, " Wallace said. " When I was called, I was told they wanted coaches who have a real tradition in the NAIA."
 
Jason Dannelly of Victory Sports Network commented on the selection of Wallace, " Vic has been a mainstay in the NAIA for years. There are a lot of coaches and players across the country whose lives have been touched by him."
 
In his career, Wallace has nine conference championships in his 27 years of coaching--15 years at Lambuth, --taken 10 teams to the national playoffs and played in the national finals once and the national semifinals four times.
 
Overall, Wallace has a career record of 176-109-5.
 
Joining Coach Wallace in the classic will be Quentin Hurd, defensive back from Lambuth.  Hurd just completed his senior year at Lambuth. Hurd prepped at Jackson North Side High School. Hurd started three straight years for the Eagles and was noted as one of the best defensive players in the Mid-South Conference.

Also representing Lambuth will be All-Conference linebacker, Jason Hoath and all-purpose back, Chris Dichara. Both players had outstanding careers  wearing the Blue and White. Kyle Wren, a former outstanding lineman  from Lambuth has been chosen to join Coach Wallace on the team as well.
 
Wallace told lambutheagles.com he is putting a staff  together which will be composed of former assistants who have worked for him through the years at Lambuth. This story will be updated with those selections at a later date.
