Jackson, TN- Lambuth Football Coach Hugh Freeze announced eight more student athletes who have signed with the Eagles. After an early surge of signing several local players, the Eagles stepped outside the immediate area to bring more quality student athletes into the Lambuth football family.
 
Heading the list is Phillip Robertson (pictured above) from Merced College in South Carolina. The 6'5 245 defensive end chose Lambuth over several other schools including Delta State and Missouri Valley. Robertson was a two-time All Mid- Empire Conference selection while at Merced.
 
Joining Robertson on the defensive side of the ball are six other defensive players. Jeremy Worden, defensive back from Donelson Christian Academy in Mt. Juliet, TN, Logan Anderson, linebacker from Trinity Catholic in Ocala, FL, Luis Doray, defensive end from Park Vista High School in Lake Worth, FL, T.J. Dollard, defensive back from Creekwood High School in Dickson, TN, Ladorrius Madden, defensive back from Colbert County High School in Leighton, AL, and Ryan Morton (pictured right), linebacker from Cascade High School in Wartrace, TN.
 
Donovan Maxwell, a wide receiver from Shelbyville Central High School in Shelbyville, TN rounds out the latest list to commit to wear the Blue and White.
 

Lambuth Coach Hugh Freeze commented, "We really helped our program with this latest group of student athletes. We are excited about adding these young men to our program. Our staff has worked hard to not only add quality players to the program but quality people as well."
