Coach Hugh Freeze
Jackson, TN - The Annual Blue White Game capped off spring practice for the Lambuth football squad Saturday morning as the White defensive squad beat the offensive Blue team, 57-39.
Marquis Williams rushed for 107 yards on six carries leading the offense. Quarterbacks, Josh Garza and Mark Kelly looked sharp for the Eagles. Garza rushed for 46 yards and passed for 57 yards while Kelly passed for 102 yards. Brandon Okechukwu had 104 yards in receiving.
Defensive lineman, Cedric Fisher and Sterling Williams, led the defense in tackles.
Coach Hugh Freeze commented after the game, "I was pleased with several areas. I thought Marquis Williams really looked good. The quarterbacks did some things right and I think it will be very interesting to see who emerges as the starter this fall. The defensive line looked good at times. I was disappointed in the penalties and some of the type mistakes we made on offense. We had a great turnout and I look forward to meeting more of our parents and fans."
