Jackson, TN – Head Coach John Barlowe stresses to his player's everyday the importance of being a well-rounded individual. Well-rounded meaning; succeeding in the classroom, succeeding on the baseball field and succeeding in all everyday life situations. On Sunday, seven Lambuth baseball players received their academic diplomas from Lambuth University. Not only did these seven succeed on the field, all of them succeeded in the classroom.

Jamie Bermudez, Javiar Diaz, Adam Harrington and Jerad Whitis all finished their baseball careers in 2007. Each of these fine student/athletes returned to Lambuth University for their final year and on Sunday finished their college career by receiving their diploma. Bermudez was a right-handed pitcher, while Whitis served as a catcher. Both Diaz and Harrington played in the Eagle Infield.

Chris Logan, Dan Robbins and Josh Woods were all a great part of Lambuth's success this season. Logan served as a student assistant for the Eagles. Chris helped the outfielders and assisted in hitting instruction. Dan Robbins was a part of the Eagle pitching staff and Josh Woods played in the Eagle outfield.

Coach Barlowe, along with his assistants take pride in the success that each one of these student/athletes have not only on the baseball field, but also in the classroom. We have and always will strive to make sure that every Eagle baseball player will follow in the same path as these seven young men did today.

CONGRATULATIONS Jaime, Javier, Adam, Jerad, Chris, Dan, and Josh. Good Luck in all your future endeavors.
