Jackson, TN - Two local standouts, Matt Tillery and Brent Goode decided to make Lambuth University their home for the next four years. Both will be part of John Barlowe's Lambuth Eagles baseball team. These two high school seniors will join a Lambuth Eagles squad that finished second in the TranSouth Conference. Both Matt and Brent will be great additions to the Eagle Baseball team.

Matt Tillery is currently a senior at Trinity Christian Academy (TCA) and resides in Jackson, TN. Matt comes to the Eagles as a middle infielder that is leading his high school team in batting average. Matt has not only proved his skills to the Lambuth coaching staff, but all high school coaches around the area. Matt was named 1st Team All-District for District 15A. Matt is coached by Eric Quinn at TCA. "With Matt's ability is handle the bat, he should adjust to college baseball at a quicker pace then most freshman," Head Coach John Barlowe said. "Losing our senior second baseman will give Matt an opportunity to compete for a job right away."

Brent Goode is also a senior middle infielder from Jackson, TN. Brent attends North Side High School where he is coached by Jason McCauley. "What jumped out at me is how hard Brent plays the game," said Coach Barlowe. "Brent can play all three positions in the infield and knows the game offensively. He could help us next year in some capacity."

Lambuth is proud to have both of these fine young men and we look forward to watching each of them progress not only on the field, but in the classroom.
