Jackson, TN - Taylor Gibbs, a lefthanded pitcher, made it official by signing the Athletic Award Agreement to attend Lambuth University. Taylor is the son of Steve and Rosemary Gibbs and the Gibbs family resides in Huntsville, AL. Taylor has been a four year starter for Coach Roger Wright at Buckhorn High School.
Taylor had a very successful senior season which saw him go 4-1 on the mound with a 2.64 ERA. Taylor struck out 47 and only walked 11 in 54 innings pitched.
"Taylor is a strike thrower," commented Coach John Barlowe. "He knows how to pitch and has three pitches that he can throw for a strike. Being lefthanded is a positive and with his great work ethic, I hope Taylor will log some innings during his freshman year."
