The Lambuth Lady Eagles traveled to Harrogate, TN Tuesday afternoon to meet the Division ll  Lincoln Memorial Lady Railsplitters. The game was just recently added to the 08-09 schedule. Lambuth experienced a tough shooting first half and trailed 33-21 at the break.The Lady Eagles shot 24% from the field and were just 3-17 from behind the three-point arc.

Lambuth opened the second half out scoring LMU in the first ten minutes of the second stanza, 23-11 to tie the game at 44. The Lady Railsplitters answered Lambuth's charge with eight consecutive points to retake the lead 52-44. The Lady Eagles cut the margin to five on a Kayla Bryant three-pointer but never got closer and  fell 73-60.

Lambuth shot 27.6%  for the game hitting just 21of 75 from the field and just 7-32 from three- point range.  The Lady Eagles are 5-0 when they hit ten or more three- point field goals in a game. Lambuth was 11-22  from the charity stripe.

Lambuth forced LMU into 33 turnovers but could not overcome the cold shooting night.

Lambuth placed two players in double figures as Jenee Webb and Kelly Hufstedler both finished with 10 points.

The Lady Eagles dropped to  9-3 on the season and will host William Carey College Thursday night at the Athletic Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 6p.m.
