Jackson, TN - Coach Shannon Tanner announced Friday the signing of seven new players who will join the Lady Eagle squad this year.
All seven of the newest Lady Eagles are junior college or community college transfers who will bring a wealth of deapth and experience to the team's lineup.
Having committed for the 2008 Season are:
Courtney Mathews, an outfielder from Longview, WA hit 14 home runs and was a NWAACC All-Region performer at Lower Columbia College.
Haley Trantham, a pitcher from Willard, MO recorded 102 strikeouts at Allen County C.C.
Kelly Saksa, a third baseman from Allen County C.C. had 35 RBIs and 10 stolen bases last year. Saksa is from Medina, OH.
Lindsey Akin, an outfielder from Yuba City, CA had 11 doubles, 20 RBIs and 10 stolen bases at Yuba C.C.
Ashley Dedeker, an infielder from Yuba City, CA had 9 RBIs at Yuba C.C.
Jessica Brown, a first baseman from Hueytown, AL had nine doubles while playing at Bevill State C.C.
Alyson Taylor, a catcher at Bevill State C.C. had 20 RBIs and eight stolen bases. Taylor is from Biloxi, MS.
