Whitney King Signs with Lambuth
For the second time in less than a week a Jackson North Side standout has signed with the Lambuth Lady Eagles. Coach Jack Peel signed Whitney King. Kings's teamamte, Kristen Rast signed with Lambuth last week.
Whitney played several positions for the Lady Indians. She played outfield, second base and shortstop for Coaches Bobby Lay and Shari Baldwin.
Whitney was named to the All-District All-Tournament squad in 2007 and was the MVP of the TP Classic Tournament the same year. She was also named to the 2008 All-District team.
King was a member of the North Side Football Homecoming Royalty her senior year. She is a member of Who's Who and was certified as Perfect Attendance as a freshman, junior and senior.
Coach Peel commented on the signing. " I love the fact Whitney can play a lot of different positions. She comes from a great family and has that desire to win. She is a player who can help us and will be a great student athlete."
Whitney is the daughter of Jeff and Linda King of Jackson.
