Seniors Hope to Continue Season at A.I.I. Tournament
The Lambuth Lady Eagles closed out the regular season with three straight wins after a doubleheader sweep of Cumberland University this past Friday.
With the winning streak the Lady Eagles hope to hang on to that confidence as they travel to Thomasville, GA this week to compete in the A.I.I. Conference Tournament at Thomas University.
The sixth seeded Lady Eagles face number one seeded CSU-San Marcos Thursday at 1 :30 p.m. The six team field is a double elimination affair.
Coach Jack Peel commented on the action in South Georgia. " We are playing our best ball of the year. CSU-San Marcos is 33-22 on the year and we will have our hands full. If we play like we have for the last two weeks we have a shot. Our defense and pitching needs to be solid."
