The Eagles meet Houston-Victoria Saturday at 1 p. m. The Eagles lost to UHV 8-6 earlier in the tourney. Lambuth will have to beat UHV twice to win the championship and receive an automatic bid to the NAIA Championship Tournament.
Coach John Barlowe was proud of his team. " Our bats came alive late in the game this afternoon and that seems to have given our kids a lot of confidence. Chris got us out of the gate quickly and it gave us the early momentum. Alex gave us a big effort. We know we will have our hands full against UHV but we have given ourselves a chance."
