The Lambuth Eagles forced a second game with Houston-Victoria Saturday with a 16-11 win earlier in the day, but fell in the nightcap 6-2 to finish second in the A.I.I. conference baseball tournament in Houston, TX..
Game one was a wild affair with Lambuth scoring four runs in the seventh inning to break an 11 all tie. Bart White had a two run double to cap off the inning. Derrick Green had four hits and four RBI's.
Game two was a 2-2 tie until UHA pushed across four late inning runs ro win.
Lambuth hopes to receive a bid to regional play. The bids will be announced Friday.
Regional play will consist of 45 teams playing at nine different locations. Five teams advancing from the double-elimination tournaments will advance to Lewis-Clark State in Lewiston, Idaho for the Avita NAIA national tournament.
Lambuth is 35-20 on the season.
