Kyle Long Signs with Eagles
Coach Andy Farmer continues his recruiting of West Tennessee golf standouts with the signing of Humboldt star Kyle Long.
Kyle received All-District all four years and All-Region honors three of his four years with the Vikings. Kyle finished in the top ten and played in the year ending Tournament of Champions on five different occasions on the Tennessee Junior Golf Tour. He was ranked number one on the HHS golf team all four years during his high school career. Kyle won the Humboldt Country Club championship in 2007 by shooting a two under par 68. In 2008 he posted a six under 64 to win the Tennessee State Junior Amateur qualifying held at the Humboldt Country Club.
The highlight of his high school career came when he won a trip to the TSSAA State Tournament at Old Fort Golf Club in Murfreesboro and finished in a tie for seventh place.
Coach Farmer commented on the signing. " We are really pleased Kyle is coming to Lambuth to continue his education. He is a fine student and loves the game. We look forward to him helping us continue in the building of our program."
