Although they were eliminated in the semifinals, Lambuth's Heath Lay and Scott Metcalf had a great run in the Albert C. Stone Cup Tournament played at the Jackson Country Club. Both golfers continue to be two of the best in the entire state.  
 
In quarterfinal action Saturday, Lay defeated Wade Floyd while Metcalf beat Jeff Manley. The student beat the coach in that one as Manley is an assistant at Lambuth.
 
In  semifinal  afternoon action Lay lost to David Saylers while Metcalf fell to Marshall Talkington.
 
Congratulations to both Eagle golfers on an exciting tournament.
