Lambuth Director of Athletics, Ken Brown, announced today the school has hired Valena " Bubbles" Lee as the new softball coach.
Lee follows Coach Jack Peel who recently left to be an assistant baseball coach at Trevecca University.

Lee is a familiar face to Lambuth fans. She is one of the more popular student-athletes ever at the school. She played volleyball and softball and received All-Conference and All-Region honors in both sports. She was named Conference Player of the Year in softball in 2005.

After graduation from Lambuth in 2007 she was the volleyball coach for one season.

She is currently serving as the compliance officer for the athletic department and will continue those duties along with her coaching duties.

Brown commented on the decision, " We are excited Coach Lee has accepted the position. She is familiar with our student-athletes and her past coaching experience here at Lambuth makes her a logical choice. She has done a great job as our compliance officer and will continue those duties as well."

Coach Lee is excited about the opportunity, " I am thrilled to be back in coaching. I love what I am doing as the compliance officer because I feel I am really helping our student-athletes. At the same time. I can make a difference coaching our players as well."
