Eagles Drop Heartbreaker
Eagles Drop Heartbreaker

Lambuth  led 1-0 at the end of the first half but could not hold on as Harris-Stowe fought back and scored two second half goals and beat the Eagles 2-1 in the season opener Saturday.

Freshman newcomer Daniel Ericsson scored Lambuth's only goal of the day. Lambuth  out shot the visitors but Harris -Stowe made their shots count. The Eagles had a 7-2 advantage in shots but could not make the big play when needed in the second stanza.

Coach Paul Conway commented on the tough loss." We started well but let them back in the contest in the second half. They simply out worked us. We showed our inexperience at times. It is  a disappointing loss but we will improve."

Lambuth will be back in action Sunday at noon. The Eagles host the University of Indianapolis.
