Lambuth fought back on Labor Day to beat Shorter College. The Eagles were led by freshman forward Juan Garzon who scored two goals. The other goal was scored by another newcomer, Marcelo do Valle, who also had an assist in the contest. Brett Borm had another fine game in goal. Jon Kresena and Garzon were also credited with assists.
The Eagles who improved to 1-3 on the year, travel to Cumberland University Friday to meet the Dogs at 4 pm.
Coach Conway commented, " Oue schedule hasn't been kind to a young squad, but we seem to be learning and improving. We've played two very good sides this weekend and competed
in both. It's pleasing to get this first win, but we've a lot of work to do."
