Adam Grant
The Lambuth Eagles beat Cumberland University 4-2 Friday and tied # 18 Martin Methodist Sunday 1-1. The Eagles return home Friday with a 2-3-1 record.
Lambuth had goals from Marcelo do Valle, Bret Boylan, Adam Grant and Jose 'Kiko' Kislansky in the win at Cumberland. Boylan and Adam Grant had assists. Daniel Ericsson had two assists. Lambuth had a 4-0 lead before surrendering two late goals.
Lambuth followed the win with a 1-1 tie against # 18 Martin Methodist Sunday in Pulaski.
Adam Grant scored in the first half from an assist by Jon Kresena. Lambuth held the lead until the 76th minute. Both squads relied on great saves by their keepers. Brett Borm was outstanding in goal for the Eagles.
Coach Conway commented, " We are starting to really play as a team. Every player is taking a bit more responsibility for their performance. After a shaky start we are showing much more character in games and proving we are a tough team to beat. We are looking forward to coming back on campus after four away games."
The Eagles host Trevecca Friday at 1:30 p.m.
