Lambuth Announces the Hiring of a New Women's Basketball Coach
Jackson, TN, September 27, 2009-- Lambuth University today announced the hiring of a new women's basketball coach, Tony Hill. Hill was head women's basketball coach at Rose-Hulman Institute of Tech,. in Terre Haute, IN from 2003-2006. Prior to Rose-Hulman, he was head women's basketball and softball coach at Lincoln Trail College in Robinson, IL from 2001-2003.
Hill who has been in private business for several years has also served as athletic director, coach and teacher at the high school level.
At Rose-Hulman, Hill holds the all-time record for number of wins in the women's basketball program, including the first winning season in program history.
Thw 2005-2006 team led all Division III women's basketball teams in free throw shooting with a percentage of 82.5%.
Hill is a graduate of Indiana University.
A press conference will be held Tuesday at 3 p. m. in the Athletic Hall-of-Fame room to introduce Coach Hill. All fans and supporters are invited to attend and meet the new coach.
