Lambuth tied for first at Derrall Foreman Classic
Lambuth golfers set a school record by firing a 287 1- under par total at the Derrall Foreman Classic hosted by Delta State.
Lambuth is tied with NCAA Div II 11th ranked North Alabama and leads perennial NAIA powerhouses Lindenwood and University of Mobile. Kyle Long and Aaron Ingalls shot 1 under par 71's, Heath Lay carded a even par 72, Scott Metcalf shot a 73. Freshman Dan Overheim playing as in individual carded an even par 72. Play continues Saturday.

Lambuth golfers started the season at The Birmingham Southern College Fall Shootout at a soggy RTJ Oxmoor Valley Course against strong compettition from NCAA Div III powerhouses by finishing 8th overall. Eddy Whitaker led Lambuth with a 231 which earned him a tie for 24th which included an opening round 74 which had him tied for fourth. Aaron Ingalls T 32 232, Heath Lay T 35 233, Scott Metcalf 42nd 238.
