The conditions were similar to Saturday as the pitch remained sloppy and heavy this morning's away match against William Carey. However, it was the home side who hit the ground running as they soon went into a quick two goal lead. Both goals were oddly similar once again as slack defending lent a helping hand. The score would remain the same at the half.

It wasn’t until the start of the second half that Lambuth finally started putting some passes together and playing with a purpose.

Unfortunately against the run of play William Carey hit on a quick counter attack ending in a well placed shot in off the lady eagles post. Lambuth did not give in as they continued to improve and ask questions of the William Carey defense. Sadly, Lambuth fell behind again as Carey’s clinical finishing continued as they scored another in off the Lady Eagles post.

Freshman Midfielder, Megan Ladner was best for the Lady Eagles.

The Lady Eagles season gets no easier as they travel to play #9 Bethel(TN)  in Transouth conference play Wednesday 9/12 @ 3pm.
