Lambuth's Gavin Smith Leads Lambuth to Road Win

Lambuth's men's soccer moved to 5-4-1 on the season with a 2-1 win at Alabama-Huntsville Saturday.

The Eagles fell behind in the second half but behind a curling strike from Gavin Smith tied the contest at 1-1. Smith secured the win from the penalty spot after neat work from Juan Garzon resulted in him being brought down. It is the second time this season Smith has scored all of Lambuth's goals in a win.

After an 0-3 start, Lambuth is 5-1-1 in its last seven matches.

Coach Conway commented on the road win."Credit the lads. It has been nearly three weeks since we last played. We showed great character coming from behind. We're starting to show more resilience as a team and we are looking forward to the remainder of the season."

The Eagles are back in action Friday at 1p.m. as they host Trevecca.
